This program is intended for students interested in the trades of construction or the maintenance of residential or commercial facilities in all phases including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. Graduates should be able to enter the workforce as a carpenter, building technician, and facility maintenance technician.

PLUMBING:

  1. OSHA safety with tools
  2. Trade Math
  3. Copper and plastic pipe fittings
  4. Connections, glue, non-glue, solder
  5. Repairs, leaks
  6. Facet and fixtures installation

ELECTRICAL:

  1. OSHA Tool Safety
  2. OHMS Law
  3. Conductor, insulator,
  4. National Electrical Codes (NEC)
  5. Series and parallel circuit connections
  6. Wiring, switches, receptacles, lights and fans

CLIMATE, CONTROL AND VENTILATION (HVAC):

  1. OSHA tool and safety
  2. Trade Math
  3. Insulation/air leaks
  4. Fans and vents
  5. Refrigeration cycle. Heating cycle
  6. Refrigerant recovery, HVAC leak detection

OSHA and EPA CERTIFICATIONS
